General Info
Who should apply?
Anyone in the DFW area who creates 2D art in any medium except for photography. Photographers should apply through Thin Line Fest for a separate show. The link will be provided when their applications open.
What are the size requirements?
All work must be no larger than 30"x30" including the frame.
When can I apply and when will I hear back?
Applications open November 23rd and close February 18th. Artists will be notified of their acceptance on March 4th.
When is the show and where do I drop off my work?
The exact days are TBD, but will be held during the weekend of Denton Makers at Thin Line.
Where is the event located?
Artwork will be displayed at Sunago Bell, an event venue located at the top of the Wells Fargo building in downtown Denton, Texas. The space will be open to the public. Dates to follow.
Where do I drop off my work?
All artwork must be dropped off in person to our DMF organizers located in Denton, Texas. Accepted artists will be notified of the time slots and drop off location.
Do I need to have a mounting system on my piece?
Yes, you are required to have a wire hanging system on the back of your art. Any other hanging method or no hanging method will disqualify you from the event, even if you were accepted into the show.
What are the prizes?
There will be cash awards given to first, second, and third place works chosen by our judges. There may be additional gifts provided by our sponsors.
What is the cost to enter?
Cost to enter starts at $30 for the first piece. An additional $15 each for the second and third pieces.
